2012 The birth of a new tyre is usually a process that takes years. Known parameters and experience from previous production are incorporated into the development process just as much as the latest research findings with regard to additives in the rubber mixture, for example. Many years of laboratory development are supplemented by the most important parameters from race tracks all over the world. When a tyre is being developed, the most important element is
balance: the balance between optimised wet behaviour, perfect dry handling, exceptional directional stability at high speeds and at the same time as little wear as possible. If the rolling noise is very quiet and the tyre absorbs road unevenness such as lateral grooves without problem, then we've developed the perfect product.

At Falken, we know: building a good tyre is mostly about knowledge and motivation.
